ROSE ISLAND SPECIMEN PROJECT: I have enjoyed some great hikes on Rose Island over the last year or two, exploring the terrain and letting the ideas percolate for my Rose Island Specimen Project. The resulting body of work inspired by the distinctive nature reserve on the island explores our complex connection to the land as well as the duality of isolation. Many thanks to the Georgian Bay Land Trust and its King Family Bursary for their support of this project. A preview of these works will be exhibited at Trestle Brewery in Parry Sound, ON in May of 2024. The larger collection of works will then be exhibited at Quest Art Gallery in Midland ON from June 21 to August 17 2024. All welcome at the opening reception on June 21st from 7-9pm. More information about the project HERE.
